Retired Delaware teacher Brent Carson will present a lecture “Stories I’ve Heard From the People I’ve Met — Life in Delaware Ohio” on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Ohio Wesleyan’s Hamilton-Williams Campus Center (Map).
Carson has become one of Delaware’s best known historians, including the recent publication of a DVD on the history of the area. Should be an interesting discussion.

Sadie Lynn is the Boxer of Toby Boyce, a REALTOR with Keller Williams Consultants Realty, and Mrs. Toby. Sadie has been hearing more than she can take about real estate and Delaware since Toby became an agent in July. So, she decided to take into her own hands and created this site to share her new knowledge. Enjoy, my take on Delaware, Ohio and real estate as a general.
My mother, as a young teacher, and two of her teacher friends taught at the Girl’s Industrial School one summer in the 1920′s. I am not sure what year. The event that I am looking for, a car accident, may have been reported in a newspaper of that time period. I have searched several web sites and found some information about the school, but nothing as specific as a list of teachers. I have not been able to access any old newspapers. Any assistance you can provide as to where to look or who to contact will be appreciated.
My mother’s name at the time was Margaret Owens.
Thank you.
