I was travelling around to congratulate the winners of this month’s Ohio Blog Carnival when I found a post from Blogging Ohio’s Tobias Buckell.
Sometimes good things and fun projects come to a close. For a variety of reasons AOL/Weblogs Inc. is consolidating some of its more niche blogs, and stopping publication of others. This includes Blogging Ohio. This will be our last post and our last day.
Blogging Ohio is (how hard it is to actually write “was”) a collection of writers that were focusing on the events that were happening around the state. They had writers in Toledo, Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati and it was a great place to get news about the state.
Hopefully, they’ll move on to another platform and continue.

Hey, thanks for the kind words! Many of us already have blogs, I’ve been online since 1998 at tobiasbuckell.com, so I’ll probably fold anything super pertinent into there.

Tobias - good to hear that things are going to keep going, even if it won’t be the collaborative effort that we saw on blogging Ohio.

Thanks for the sentiments. I’m already back to raising a ruckus on my Toledo blog, at http://jssmith.blogspot.com
